Senior Pastor, Faith UMC

Rev. Marcos B. Tamega Jr. brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to ministry as the new Senior Pastor of Faith UMC. With over two decades of pastoral leadership, Rev. Tamega’s journey includes serving as the Program Coordinator at Wesley Divinity School, Pastor and School Director at Capas Good Samaritan UMC, and District Superintendent for Central Tarlac District. His pastoral roles have also encompassed Balete UMC, Tarlac UMC, and Mabalacat UMC.

A dedicated leader within the church, Rev. Tamega has actively contributed to the TarPAC Board of Ordained Ministry, serving as both a member and Chair. His experience includes representing the church as a delegate at the UMC General Conference and the Philippine Central Conference.

Rev. Tamega holds a Juris Doctor from Wesleyan University Philippines, a Doctor of Philosophy in Religious Studies from Philippine Christian University, and a Doctor of Ministry, among other degrees. He has also served as a seminary professor from 2014 until 2024.

Rev. Tamega is excited to join the Faith UMC community and looks forward to leading with compassion and vision. He cherishes time with his family, including Jubyrole S. Macam-Tamega, his wife; and their children: Ma. Jhuvy Ysabelle, and Marco Yohann.
